Mini Double Furnished Multigen Bernedoodles -

We have a litter of Mini Multigen Bernedoodles.  The mom is Bristol (55 pounds) and the dad is Ridge (45 pounds).  They were born June 29, 2025 and are ready to go home August 24, 2025.   They vary in color (Merle Tri, Merle Tri Parti, and Tri).  ALL of these puppies are double furnished (FF).  What this means is that they will not shed.  This also means that they are the most allergy friendly doodle.  

 

A little lesson on the furnishing gene: Did you know that doodles may shed unless they have 2 copies of the furnishing gene.  This gene is why poodles don't shed and are very allergy friendly.  Majority of poodles will all be FF.  A lot of families looking for a puppy are mislead in regards to this.  They may think or are told by a breeder that if the puppies have more poodle in them they will be less shedding and more allergy friendly.  This simply isn't true.  For example an F1b is better than an F1 because they have more poodle in them.  This just simply isn't true.  An F1b may be FF or they may have 1 copy of the furnishing gene (from the poodle) and 1 copy of the improper coat from the Bernese.  The only way to know this for sure is to purchase a puppy from a breeder that knows their lines AND does the correct testing.   All Bernese Mountain Dogs have 2 copies of improper coat.  This is why they shed and are not good for someone that has allergies.
